Terry Schmidt is a seasoned strategic planning and project management consultant with over 40 years of experience helping leaders transform strategic goals into successful, high-impact projects. Throughout his career, Terry has worked with a wide range of organizations—including corporations, governments, and research institutions—in 42 countries, delivering results that matter.
An award-winning instructor at UCLA Extension’s Technical Management Program, Terry has also trained more than 25,000 professionals. His engaging, practical, and effective training programs have earned him a reputation for making complex concepts accessible. He also shares his expertise as a faculty member at the MIT Professional Institute and the Institute for Management Studies.
As an expert in the Logical Framework Approach, Terry authored Strategic Project Management Made Simple (Wiley, 2009, 2021). His academic background includes a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Harvard Business School, allowing him to blend technical precision with strategic insight to help leaders achieve their goals.
